Ayr Indian Tandoori Restaurant has been flying the flag for Indian cuisine in Ayrshire for years. In a picturesque location with a beautiful view across the Firth of Clyde to the Isle of Arran, the surroundings and ambience are as much a part of the dining experience as the food. It’s been such a success that they’ve now opened another establishment. A wide menu takes in European food as well as all Indian classics. Starters such as seekh kebab or lamb tikka are cooked in the tandoori oven and cost £4.50. Most patia dishes (sweet and sour sauce based on mango chutney, pimento and fresh lemon juice) come in at £6.50, except for king prawn patia, at £11.95.Some like it hot, and chilli or garlic chilli dishes are available at £7.50. If they’re too hot for you there’s a variety of tropical korma dishes at £6.50. A children’s menu incorporates both European dishes and curries, at £6.50.
