The Queen’s Hall is located in the heart of Edinburgh’s Southside, just ten minutes from the city centre. This beautiful conversion from a Georgian church was opened by The Queen in 1979. With intimate surroundings, excellent natural acoustics, and seating for 850, The Queen’s Hall can accommodate everything from a string quartet to a full touring rock band. There’s a well-stocked bar open before and during events, which include a wide range of visiting Scottish, UK and international acts showcasing the best in blues, pop, rock, folk and classical music, as well as comedy and the occasional book reading. During the summer months The Queen’s Hall plays host to the renowned morning concerts for the Edinburgh International Festival; the best in folk and world music for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe; and the Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival.
