Based in the heart of Leith, Edinburgh’s restaurant district, Café Fish is a cool restaurant and wine bar, with a menu that boasts scrumptious dishes made with the freshest of fish from across Scotland, with scallops and oysters from Skye to Mussels and salmon from Shetland.
The restaurant is bright and contemporary with exposed sandstone walls, huge windows and an impressive brushed aluminium bar, at which you can sample Café Fish’s fabulous list of wines including Cortese, Albarino, Viognier, Fiano and Pinot Gris varietals all selected to compliment the seafood on offer.
Food is served from 12pm to 10pm Tuesday to Saturday and till 5pm on Sundays with the restaurant’s menu changing each day. Shellfish platters at the bar and restaurant dishes include the likes of Whole Dover sole with spinach and clams, or Loch Tarbet Langoustines served with Tomato and Herb risotto. The focus is on preparing lightly cooked fish & shellfish that’s simply presented. Small owner run Scottish producers supply Café Fish; this includes organic fruit and vegetables, free range dairy products and shot game in season.
With friendly and efficient service to boot, Café Fish is a welcome addition to the Edinburgh restaurant scene.
