With it’s fresh white linen, whitewashed walls and stylish contemporary furnishings Prince Of India is a far cry from the stereotypical Indian eatery, and its reputation as a stellar destination for city centre dining continues to grow. The team behind Prince of India has a wealth of experience serving fantastic Bangladeshi and Indian Cuisine, having opened the doors of its sister restaurant in the picturesque Borders town of Peebles in 1995. The menu is one of the most unique and varied of any Indian in Edinburgh, with all the traditional curries ,as well as an unusually large range of seafood dishes, such as Tandoori Sea Bass or a delicious Tandoori King Prawn Massalam. Vegetarians are positively spoilt for choice here, form the Sabzi Almond Korma to Bombay Begun and Mushroom Jalfrezi. The knowledgeable staff are always willing to recommend a side dish to perfectly complement the choice of meal, and there are recommendations in the menu also. A great value Princes Special Banquet costs £39.95 for two or £76.90 for four, and is exceptional value for casual dining, or special occasions.
