In their most exciting development since setting up The HendersonGallery in 2008, Henderson's, Scotland's legendary vegetarianrestaurant, has moved into Edinburgh's West End with the launch ofHenderson's @ St John's in the former Cornerstone Cafe beneath StJohn's Church at the corner of Princes Street and Lothian Road.
The atmospheric barrel-vaulted dining room can seat up to 80 peopleand offers the very best in contemporary vegetarian cookery at pricesthat won't hurt your pocket. The laid-back atmosphere makes it theideal place to relax over a drink, or coffee and a cake perhaps, whileits central location makes it the perfect venue for meeting up withfriends. Alternatively - weather permitting - you might like to sitoutside and enjoy the stunning views of Edinburgh Castle, views thatwere secured by an Act of Parliament forbidding any further building onthe south side of the church.
Henderson's @ St John's, in association with The Henderson Gallery,also intends to show a varied selection of the very best in modern art,with the grounds outside being transformed into an enthrallingsculpture park. The building lends itself to all manner of occasions,and already Henderson's @ St John's has a varied programme of eventsplanned including concerts, club nights, fashion shows and a ChristmasFair.
