Phone:

Located close to theatres at a bustling part of Sauchiehall Street, Slumdog is Glasgow’s only authentic Indian bar and kitchen and is Scotland’s renowned restaurateur Charan Gill’s only Glasgow venue. This is a place every visitor to the city should sample at least once. With a menu inspired by famous street food available from roadside stalls across India, Slumdog offers a selection of famous Indian street snacks like Bombay Bhel Puri and Goll Guppa, as well as such favourites as Chilli Chicken, Seekh Kebab and Vegetable Pakora. And there’s plenty of space at Slumdog to chill with your favourite cocktail or a nice glass of wine. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, a cool Indian beer or unique Indian cocktail could just be the drink to hit the spot.
Slumdog is open all day seven days a week so there is no excuse for not visiting.
Due to the popularity of curry and comedy in Glasgow, Slumdog Stand Up evenings are every Thursday evening. The comedians are hilarious and the Indian Banquet mouthwatering. The Banquet is served at 7.30pm and the sumptuous meal is followed by entertainment from four local stand up comics.

Regrettably all the pre opening rambles never stack up for very long, being a lover of indian food through the nineties and mid naughties i thought Indian standard was going to be maintained, not surprising that Italian food in now all conquering, "must do better"
