Having waitressed our way through university in the early 90s we both drifted into catering as our full time professions and met whilst working for the same restaurant group in 1997. By 2001 the owners had decided to sell their businesses and we were facing redundancy. Although initially shocked we soon began to see this as an opportunity and eventually decided to make the leap from employees to restaurateurs, opening our 1st restaurant, Salsa, in April 2002.
In 2007 we took the decision to invest in more than just a business idea and purchased our 1st unit in the West End, now Bibi’s Cantina. A far cosier space than our 1st restaurant, Bibi’s has proved to be just as popular and has already become a firm fixture in the West End dining scene. Very much a neighbourhood restaurant we have an uncompromising approach to dining and guarantee friendly, informed and enthusiastic service from our dedicated team. We also have a strong commitment to wholesome food using only the freshest and most vibrant ingredients in creating our Mexican inspired menus.
Whilst running your own business can at times be challenging, stressful and exhausting (especially as we each now have young children!) the positives far outweigh the negatives. We genuinely love what we do and are very proud of what we have accomplished at Bibi’s and with our amazingly supportive families, friends and customers behind us we hope that Bibi’s will continue to thrive for many years to come.
