Citation Taverne and Restaurant is located in the landmark former Sheriff court building in the Merchant City. You can sample their vast range of fine wines, beers and cocktails on the ground floor bar, or in the balcony, nestling amidst the Corinthian styled columns, with a great view for people watchers. The Balcony is located in the facade of the first floor. The restaurant has quickly built up an enviable reputation for an imaginative Scottish International menu utilising the finest produce. Starters include such stylish variations on classics as oysters rockefeller, or ham hock and lentil fritter. Mains include pan seared fillet of sea bass, medallions of monkfish, or roast rump of the finest Scots beef. There is also a breakfast menu, available from 10 AM, and an express Lunch Menu, where you can grab a soup and baguette for just £5.95. A more extensive Lunch Menu, for those with time on their hands, ranges from Caesar salad to cullen skink tart. The weekends kick off with the Easy Orchestra playing lounge classics, the perfect way to slip into a relaxing weekend at the Citation.
