With sublime Mediterranean-style food and smart, attentive staff, Collage at the Radisson SAS has all the usual characteristics of a refined hotel restaurant. The ambient lighting, poetry-adorned table cloths and quirky artwork, however, create an air of casual intimacy. Star amongst the starters is a generous plateful of succulent shrimps with herb butter, served with a gloriously garlicky aioli. The grilled sardines with baked lemon and sea salt are similarly moreish, although not quite as plentiful; and perhaps just as well, considering the magnitude of the entrées. The Cote de Boeuf (for two) is the definitive option for carnivorous couples, with 800g of succulent Aberdeen Angus rib-eye steak, hung for 21 days and expertly char-grilled. With a good selection of beautifully presented, delectable dishes and a tranquil, sophisticated atmosphere, Collage is a fantastic venue for city centre dining.
