NHS GGC Smokefree Services deliver a wide range of tobacco projects aimed at reducing the impact of tobacco on people who live and work in Greater Glasgow and Clyde. Stopping smoking isn’t always easy but if you feel that now is the time, there’s lots of help available. Smokefree Services offer lots of different support to help you through the early stages of quitting. The services generally combine Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) or another product in combination with some form of support, which makes you four times more likely to succeed. Throughout Greater Glasgow & Clyde you can attend stop smoking groups in your local area which are run by trained professionals and offer a friendly, relaxed and informal way to quit. If you would prefer one-to-one support, you can access this through Smokefree Pharmacy Services available at over 300 pharmacies in the Greater Glasgow & Clyde area. There is also specialist support for pregnant smokers and those who want to quit while in hospital.
