Fat Buddha is located in a basement in Bath Street, so it’s almost literally underground; fitting for a shop that specialises in the best of underground street culture. Leslie Docherty opened the shop to showcase all elements of street culture; Clothing, Books & Toys. After many customer requests they launched the extensive website to cater for customers, but people still travel to the shop from all over Scotland. No wonder; there’s a great range of cutting-edge streetwear, from Carhartt to Zoo York, and clothes designed by Futura 2000. Graphic Design, Art, Photography, Manga, Architecture, Tattoo, Graffiti, Stencils; their book section is the biggest for any clothing store in the world. And there’s a wide range of spray paint for sale. There’s also a great range of toys designed by artists, such as Kid Robot or Pete Fowler’s Monsterism series.
