Manchester Music Tours visits landmarks of the Manchester music scene. You will see The Free Trade Hall, where Bob Dylan was famously called ‘Judas’ for daring to go electric, and the Sex Pistols gig kickstarted the scene; G-Mex, where Happy Mondays and Inspiral Carpets played; the Boardwalk where Oasis played their first gigs, then Knot Mill where Joy Division made the classic ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’ video. No tour would be complete without a visit to the site of the legendary Hacienda or Factory Records HQ. Then visit The Ritz, the city’s longest running club, and scene of The Smiths first gig; and Rafters, where Joy Division manager Rob Gretton used to DJ. There’s almost too much to see and hear.
