Odeon Cinema
ODEON is the largest cinema chain in the UK, with over one hundred cinemas. ODEON entertain more Brits than any other cinema chain, accounting for nearly a third of all tickets sold. Founded in 1930, ODEON was acquired by J Arthur Rank, who made the chain synonymous with cinema in the UK. A re-branding campaign in 1998 further re-enforced ODEON’s position as British market leader and introduced “Fanatical About Film” to the UK cinema-goer. Manchester ODEON, in the Printworks, is at the forefront of 21st century cinemas, with the largest IMAX screen in the world, and digital screens. ODEON caters for all tastes, from Bollywood to cult, with Director’s Chair programmes. All ages are catered for, from Saturday morning kids shows to Senior Screen, and Newbies babies and carers, who will be the next generation of ODEON-goers.
