The Crowne Plaza Manchester City Centre hotel’s restaurant the Glass House has a new chef in the shape of Karl Bittner. Karl has worked in top establishments, including Harvey Nichols and the City Inn Hotel. He says, “Devising and delivering the brand new Crowne Plaza menu is a fantastic opportunity and an exciting challenge”. Karl has also worked as a head chef in Spain, which shows: “The bar menu is heavily influenced by my time in Spain, with tapas dishes such as fried baby squid and chorizo sausage braised in beer.” All food is locally sourced though, including such delights as Whitby Bay crab, Cheshire rabbit and Yorkshire farmed pig. The restaurant blends angular lines, mirrors and coloured glass to make an impressive space in which to sample the menu.
