Café Coco

Coco is a relaxed licensed cafe with warm colours and funky vintage posters that serves up breakfast, mezze and pizzas. The cafe opened on Cowley Road 23 years ago and has been winning awards and loyal support ever since. Coco prides itself on its friendly service, buzzing atmosphere, great cocktails and lip-smacking food. Adding to their list of superb pizzas and pastas, Coco’s have recently revamped their menu to include healthy breakfasts and gluten-free dishes such as its superfood porridge. The cafe forms an idyllic setting in which to unwind, especially when the doors are opened out and a miniature courtyard is formed between Coco and its sister establishment Kazbar. Try the merguez and tzatzikipizza washed down with an elderflower fizz or keep things simple but tasty with an omelette with spinach and chorizo. Other dishes include tzatziki and garlic bread, a vegetarian mezze and charcuterie of lomo, jamón, salchichónibérico and chorizo ibérico, caper berries, olives and garlic bread with sesame seeds. With customers claiming it serves the best cappuccino in Oxford, there are reasons aplenty to pay Coco a visit.

My boyfriend and I had breakfast here last week, the food is brilliant and the staff are very friendly. We sat outside in a nice spacious area. The seats are spaced out so we’re not all close together. The breakfast food is so tasty and the coffee’s look and taste good!

A good restaurant but nothing to rave about. Nice food and atmosphere but unlikely to return. Fine.
