Set in the grounds of Dalmahoy Estate, Morton Clay Targets is Edinburgh’s preeminent club for shooting enthusiasts. Situated off the A71, the MCT Club as it’s known serves as a base for tournaments, lessons and practice sessions. Members and non-members alike are welcome to practice open shooting, while the club is prized for its four skeet layouts which have helped make it one of Scotland’s major sites for hosting competitions. At the heart of every good club is a good clubhouse: MCT’s was built in 2006 with the intention of catering for large groups and hosting corporate events in comfort and style. I first visited here for a stag event which I was organising. I had expected this to be a fun experience. It was even better than I had hoped for! The staff, instructors and members are all friendly and happy to talk to you and answer any questions. The instructors can get even complete amateurs like myself hitting clays!

Absolute great day. Credit to the Morton Clay Targets team. Venue is spot on and instructor's are down to earth and made the day special. Ma laddie is hooked, will definitely be back. Can highly recommend.
