Nice decor with some lovely touches including one of the owners photography displayed on the wall, quirky quotes and cute Scottish touches. The food is delivered by a Michelin trained chef and his team and is exquisite, contemporary, Scottish fare with creative twists and full of flavour. Generous portions too. Brea has won a raft of awards, including in the top 10% of restaurants worldwide, as rated by Tripadvisor. It is a bit pricier than many other local restaurants but in life you get what you pay for and the extra few quid results in locally sourced food and drink, prepared by great chefs and the servers add fun and professionalism to the experience.

We had a lovely vegan meal at Brea during our honeymoon in Stirling. The staff were friendly and inviting, very accommodating. The food was delicious. We both had the tomato soup to start and it was incredible, huge too - it maybe filled us up a little too much. Hubby ordered the mushroom risotto and only managed to eat half as he was filled with soup, but was disappointed he couldn't finish it as he said it was amazing. I ordered the butter bean stew which was equally amazing and there was no stopping me...I demolished it all. They were changing from their usual menu of desserts to their Christmas menu so the only vegan desserts were a selection of sorbets. Unfortunately, didn't get to try any as we were stuffed! Delightful little place, we definitely recommend you visit them.
