The Grand Brighton

The Grand is a traditional Victorian hotel offering guests a memorable overnight experience. First opened in 1864, it is far and away the most luxurious hotel in Brighton, a dwelling that offers guests sumptuous sea views, thoroughly modern amenities and Art Deco-inspired suites that are both plush and comfortable. From the moment a top-hatted doorman welcomes you into the grand foyer, you’ll know you’ve made the right choice. Once the friendly concierge has taken you to your room, you’ll find your suite to be modern, tasteful and elegant. The spacious rooms feature oyster and duck-egg blue colour notes, as well as palatial furniture and soft quilted bedding. When settled, guests are invited to make use of the exquisite new day spa, which comprises eight treatment rooms. Well-trained therapists favour Natural Spa Factory products in treatments that aim to eliminate your stresses and leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Alternatively, why not make use of the bike delivery service and go on a cycle along the promenade? In the evening, the hotel’s new seafood restaurant, GB1, is the perfect place to dine, allowing guests to feast on the freshest local fish. The first choice of discerning visitors to the seaside resort, The Grand is simply unforgettable.

Sunday Lunch, at home, by The Grand Brighton! Well I have never seen a take away boxed and presented in such a tasteful, well thought out, practical but still very stylish. Everything from the huge crispy Yorkshire pudding, to the goose fat roasters and swede. Then the crisp delicate, buttery pastry of the homemade treacle tart and buttery curd style sauce that accompanied it. All for £18 per head......knock out!

The hotel retains heat and if it is warm you may be more comfortable sleeping on the beach! It's pricey for no air conditioning. If it's the temp is cooler this would be a nice place to stay. But not in any heat!
