Black Isle Wildlife Park

Home to an array of fascinating native and exotic animals, Black Isle Wildlife Park makes a fun day out for the whole family. From llamas, peacocks and meerkats to zebras, ducks and deer, the place teems with life; as many as 40 species call the park their home. In the hatchery there’s even an opportunity to pet the chicks and rabbits. For those who feel stout of heart, there’s the opportunity to go one step further and – gulp – handle a snake! As well as spending time with the friendly residents – and getting a chance to feed them too – visitors can explore the park itself, which at 50 acres comprises fields, ponds and picnic tables, in addition to the spacious animal enclosures. Should the little ones wish to burn off their surplus energy once they’ve tired of hanging with the animals, there’s a children’s play area with swings, slides and a maze. A decent cafe serving plenty of hot food, sandwiches and coffee is also on hand, as is a gift shop chock full of souvenirs. Pop into this family-run wildlife park to while away an afternoon and get better acquainted with nature

Recently visited Black Isle Wildlife & Country Park just at the weekend there. I can 100% hand on heart confirm that all animals are treated very well and looked after. I appreciate the park could do with some TLC but the animals are not miss treated. There is small park with swings for children to play and a maze garden. The volunteer's at the park are friendly and very welcoming. The park is a brilliant place to take you kids to up close animal experience and learn all about them. I will definitely be returning.
