Zen Lifestyle is as calming as its name would
suggest, an award-winning beauty salon where
relaxation and rejuvenation go hand-in-hand. In fact,
Zen comprises three premises scattered throughout
Edinburgh, each staffed by expert therapists who
are qualified to administer over 100 treatments for
men and women. Whether attending the Hanover
Street, Bruntsfield Place or Teviot Place salon, Zen
promises an escape from the regular world; inside its
tranquil treatment rooms, life moves at a slower pace.
Lie back, destress and unwind as a Zen Lifestyle
therapist gets to work, massaging, cleansing and
revitalising your skin. Pop in for a consultation
followed by a professional treatment that will leave
you glowing. The three salons also specialise in
more advanced treatments that go deeper, including
microdermabrasion and Caci facials. Eyebrow
shaping, mani-pedi, tanning, cellulite treatments and
a host of other beauty procedures are all available
at Zen Lifestyle, your one-stop salon for looking
fabulous and feeling great.

Visit the UK’s longest
underwater viewing tunnel
Deep Sea World, Scotland’s national aquarium,
is home to the UK’s longest underwater viewing
tunnel, an immersive walkway through which
visitors can see a range of exotic creatures including
sand tiger sharks. If admiring the sea creatures at
close range isn’t enough excitement, you can even
elect to face your fears and swim with sharks.
Many of the exhibits at Deep Sea World focus on a
particular geographical setting, with zones forming
a simulacrum of a real ecosystem. The centre
doesn’t just provide a snapshot of the aquatic
world – it also helps to safeguard and preserve it.
From coral reef conservation to operating an angel
shark breeding project, Deep Sea World is active in
sustaining endangered species and habitats. After
a long day spent exploring the sprawling centre,
visitors can drop by the cafe for a hot drink or a bite
to eat while overlooking the Forth Rail Bridge.
