North Parade Passage
Bath, BA1 1ND
Just along the road from Bath Abbey, The
Courtyard Cafe is a charming city centre haven in
a picturesque and tasteful setting. Whether you’re
a tourist or live in the local area, you can enjoy
fresh home baking throughout the day, seven days
a week, in this independently owned venue. The
Courtyard Cafe has been a firm fixture of Bath’s
culinary landscape for over thirty years and with
an abundance of shops and historic sights nearby,
its central location makes it ideal for a spot of
breakfast, brunch, lunch or afternoon tea. Full of
decadent sweet treats as well as healthier light
bites, chef Kirsty’s creations provide something
for every palate. Get your caffeine hit with a range
of coffee-based favourites (and your choice of
almond, soya or semi-skimmed milk), indulge in a
creamy piping hot chocolate or refresh with a pot of
fine loose leaf tea. Kids will love the milkshakes and
waffles, while vegetarians and those with allergies
or gluten intolerance are well catered for with many
tasty alternatives; the Veggie Breakfast including
avocado and halloumi is not to be missed, as is the
Bath Rarebit. All food is freshly made to order, with
locally sourced meat and free range eggs used to
ensure the menus contain ethical ingredients. No
trip to Somerset is complete without a taste of a
scone, and at The Courtyard Cafe, clotted cream
teas can be ordered per person with your choice of
tea or Americano coffee. The cafe is licensed, so
you can unwind after a hard morning’s pavement
pounding with a glass (or even bottle) of wine,
beer or cider too. On a nice day nothing is better
than enjoying all this al fresco, sitting at one of the
colourful tables in the pretty courtyard.
