AINTREE
Home of the world’s most famous
steeplechase, the Crabbies
Grand National, Aintree is a truly
iconic sporting venue. Located
in the north of the city, Aintree
Racecourse and Visitor Centre
has benefited in recent years
from a £35 million redevelopment
project. Comprising two new
Grandstands, a brand-new
Parade Ring, Winners Enclosure
and the superb Aintree Pavilion,
the site offers a top-notch racing
experience for all spectators. In
addition to hosting April’s Grand
National, Aintree hosts four
more race days throughout the
year. While sporting enjoyment
is a given, entertainment is
also supplied for the whole
family, from falconry displays
and ferret racing to shire horse
displays and face painting.
During Christmas race day, kids
even get the chance to meet
reindeer and visit Santa’s Grotto.
