THE LOWRY HOTEL
The Lowry is Manchester’s first
five-star hotel. Located on Chapel
Wharf, where Salford meets
Manchester on the banks of the
River Irwell, the iconic glass-
fronted hotel opened in 200. In
all, it boasts 158 rooms and seven
luxurious suites. The elegant
rooms offer guests a degree of
luxury scarcely seen elsewhere.
Not only are the spacious rooms

wardrobes. All are equipped with

or simply lounge in the sauna

and a number of free weights.
Elsewhere, an excellent on-site
restaurant – the River Bar and
Grill – benefits from splendid views
and serves an exquisite range of
dishes. If you happen to be in
town on business, the Lowry’s
conference and events facilities
are second-to-none. As well as a
dedicated business centre, there
is a capacious Grand Ballroom
and several smaller meeting
rooms. There’s even a private
dining room adjacent to the River
