at North Manchester Golf Club
is the perfect setting in which
to enjoy an unhurried round.
Characterised by tree-fringed
fairways
and
impeccably
manicured greens, the club
has been a mainstay of the
city’s golfing scene since 1925.
Thanks to its prime location,
just off junction 19 of the M60,
the course attracts ardent
golfers from Cheshire and the
neighbouring counties. The
par 71 course is challenging
enough
for
experienced
golfers, but also forms the
perfect setting for novices
to sharpen their skills. The
elevated first tee provides a
spectacular introduction to the
experience that awaits. The
scenery may be special, but
ultimately it’s the little white
ball that will command your
attention. The course ends
with a tricky par three at the
18th, complete with a water
feature you’ll want to dodge.
When you’ve tired of knocking
a ball about, you can retreat to
the comfort of the Clubhouse,
whose well-lit lounge boasts
splendid views of the course
and surrounding environs.
There’s also a fully-stocked Pro
Shop, where you can pick up
the new Callaway Big Bertha or
choose from a range of clothing
and accessories.
