CAFES, BARS & CLUBS
4 Belmont Street
Aberdeen, AB10 1JE
If you’re seeking a late night haunt that’s elegant,
stylish and funky, look no further than The Tippling
House. Reminiscent of Aberdeen’s industrial age,
this casual eatery and bar is a contemporary port
town tavern. The Tippling House is open till 3am
on Fridays and Saturdays and 2am the rest of
the week. But unlike other establishments open
till the wee small hours, this one is not rowdy.
Quality, rather than quantity, of imbibement is
the message here. It’s something reflected in
the cocktails, designed to impress both in taste
and looks. The decor is urban yet refined, with
exposed brick walls, muted tartan upholstery,
atmospheric lighting and plenty of retro touches.
Dine from a pre-theatre, bar snacks or a la carte
menu. The venue also holds regular tastings, an
ideal way to discover new flavour sensations and
learn more about your favourite tipples.
SIX DEGREES NORTH
6 Littlejohn Street
Aberdeen, AB10 1FF

Craft beer has never been so popular, with many
devotees keen to sample the many and the best. If
you’re a fan, head to Six Degrees North, where you
can purchase unfiltered and naturally carbonated
products. The company was formed back in 2013
by founder Robert Lindsay. Inspired by Belgian
beer culture and tradition, Lindsay began to brew
artisanal, modern hop-forward beers through a
process of secondary fermentation. As well as its
own produce, Six Degrees North now offers beers
in collaboration with other breweries too. In addition
to this bar on Littlejohn Street, there are yet more in
the centre of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stonehaven,
making this a truly Scottish, but European inspired,
brewery. The vibe inside is friendly and laid back,
and with regular tastings, events, room hire and a
full menu available, the venus is the perfect spot to
enjoy a craft beer – or several.
