Balbeg Country Holidays offer a selection of five
beautifully presented holiday homes in a quiet rural
setting some 50 miles south of Glasgow and 16
miles from the county town of Ayr in South Ayrshire.
Our five quality self catering holiday homes lie in
the grounds of Balbeg Estate, a 300 acre estate
which sits in the valley of the Water of Girvan
about 2 miles south of the delightful village of
Straiton. We especially welcome families and large
groups looking for a base for a special countryside
vacation. With all the properties placed to offer
privacy to our guests, Balbeg Country Holidays are
the ideal place for families large or small. All Balbeg
Country Holidays properties have full central
heating and Rabbie Burns Lodge, Balcraig House
and Doonans Cottage have en-suite facilities.
Along with our smallest property, Foxglove Cottage,
all the properties are comfortably furnished and
fully equipped to the highest standards.

Woodland Bay is located in a simply stunning
seaside location, 2 miles south of Girvan, Ayrshire.
Guests can enjoy the beautiful sunsets over Ailsa
Craig and the Isle of Arran and coastal views
towards Turnberry Golf Course and Culzean Castle
and Country Park. Woodland Bay is the perfect
overnight location for travel to and from Northern
Ireland with StenaLine or P&O Ferries. Dog friendly
and fully accessible, this family run hotel has a
selection of 20 spacious en suite rooms including a
purpose-built Accessible Room. All accommodation
is non-smoking and dog friendly. There is free
WIFI, an ironing centre and safety deposit box in
all rooms. The en suite shower rooms have heated
towel rails, hairdryers and a range of toiletries
including shampoo, shower gel and soap. In your
room you will find a fitted kitchen with a good-sized
SMEG fridge, microwave/convection oven, kettle,
toaster, crockery and utensils.
