If you’re after something a little
different to the typical hotel
experience, Brighton’s Hotel
Pelirocco fits the bill. The bay-
fronted boutique hotel blazes
its own path, the stylish themed
rooms giving guests the
opportunity to relax in comfort.
Overlooking the attractive
Regency Square and the
West Pier, the building seems
innocuous enough from the
outside; but step inside and all
notions of normality disappear.
You’ll soon know why it refers
to itself as ‘England’s most rock
‘n’ roll hotel’. Each of the 19
guest rooms is styled uniquely
to reflect a different element
of pop culture. There’s the
Rough Trade room, which has
been designed to resemble
a Rough Trade record shop;
Bettie’s Boudoir, a quirky space
dedicated to pin-up icon Bettie
Page; and an authentically
styled rockabilly room. In
this sense, guests are given
an opportunity to spend a
night in a room that reflects
their personality. Elsewhere,
there’s a funky cocktail bar
(which doubles as a breakfast
room) on the first floor, which
regularly hosts comedy and film
nights. Located just minutes
away from the town’s brightest
and best attractions, Hotel
