L’Occitane en Provence is a cherished French retailer
of home and beauty products. If it smells fragrant, adds
beauty or enhances the complexion, odds are you’ll
find it within L’Occitane’s distinctive yellow and beige
boutiques. Glasgow’s flagship L’Occitane store can
be found on Buchanan Street, in the heart of the city’s
shopping district. Open till 6pm daily (7pm on Thursdays
and 5pm Sundays), the store is characterised by its
courteous, personalised service. L’Occitane’s staff are
on hand to help, so don’t be shy: just ask. Whether
you’re troubled by dry skin, split ends or are struggling
to find a moisturiser that won’t cause irritation, staff
will do their utmost to help, recommending a range of
products to suit your needs. Pop in to replenish your
supplies of a favourite beauty product – Divine Cream
and Almond Shower Oil are best sellers – or to treat
yourself to something new for an impending big night
out. Oils, tinctures, shampoos, lotions, potions and
powders: you’ll find them all plus a whole lot more at
Glasgow’s L’Occitane.

Inspired by geology, ancient history and our changing
landscapes, Rhona McCallum creates statement
collections of jewellery in recycled silver and gold that
combine rugged, natural textures with bold, sculptural
forms. Forged and carved lines run through the
pieces, accentuated by flashes of gold, referencing
geological fractures and lines and layers in stone.
Rhona is also registered to use Fairtrade Gold in
my work. Rhona’s award winning jewellery is made
by hand in her studio in Glasgow, Scotland, and
has been exhibited around the world, including the
prestigious Goldsmiths’ Fair and Collect in London,
and New York’s Museum of Arts and Design. She
graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with an
MA in Jewellery Design in 2013. As well as making
her statement collections, Rhona also works to
commission and will happily discuss your ideas for a
bespoke piece of jewellery. Get in touch to arrange a
free design appointment at her Glasgow studio.
