Cass Art. The shop builds on
the city’s rich artistic heritage
and provides materials and
opportunities to local and
visiting artists. The chain
was established in 1984
and serves communities
across the UK, showcasing
the best brands in the
industry. Shop online (with
click-and-collect
available)
or in store, with a range of
pens, pencils, watercolours,
acrylics, brushes, paints,
craft supplies, pads, paper,
clay, card, easels, books and
small or large canvases by
the metre. If you’re new to
art and want to get started,
buy a kit with everything
you need to get you up and
running. There are special
materials on sale especially
for very young artists too.
If you’re gift shopping and
unsure what to pick, vouchers
can be purchased. The store
also hosts the Art Space -
a purpose-designed area
for events, workshops and
exhibitions. Here you can
often find local work, as artists
can apply with a proposal to
use the space for free.
