Founded in 1834 and operating under the
umbrella of Greyfriars Art Shop, Miller’s Art is a
treasure trove for those interested in art, craft and
design. A recipient of the NAMTA “Excellence in
Communications Award,” Miller’s was named Best
Dealer in the UK in 1992 and attracts custom
from far and wide. The 6,500 sq. ft. shop spans
two floors and carries over 35,000 product lines
from stationery and models to craft supplies and
art materials. The oldest continuously trading
vendor in Glasgow city centre, Miller’s previously
occupied premises in Argyle Street, Trongate
and Queen Street, as well as in Edinburgh. Its
current address is 28 Stockwell Street and the
city’s art lovers and students don’t have to be told
twice. Miller’s is currently the city’s only Winsor &
Newton Premier Art Centre and a primary stockist
of Daler-Rowney art materials.

Liquorice Tree is a West End boutique that’s
prized for its array of bespoke jewellery, quirky
homewares and cute fashion accessories.
Operating out of a premises on Great Western
Road, as well as offering an online store, Liquorice
Tree specialises in stunning jewellery by brands
such as Joma, Kaytie Wu and Edblad. Bracelets
and bangles; necklaces and pendants; you name
it, you’ll find it here along with a fine selection of
children’s jewellery. A range of male grooming
products includes Lemon Hand Manitiser and
Harris Tweed toiletry bags. Liquorice Tree is the
sort of place you pop into to choose a special gift
for a special person in your life, but the store also
provides no shortage of inspiration when you’ve
just been handed the keys to your new abode and
are seeking those finishing touches that will turn a
house into a home.
