in a windswept, rugged
and romantic setting on the
stunning Isle of Skye, the
distillery is backed by the
Black Cuillin mountains which
form a dramatic backdrop for
this quintessentially Scottish
attraction. Tours are popular,
especially in peak season,
so book in advance and you
won’t be disappointed. You
can choose from the Basic
Tour which includes a wee
dram at the end, or a Talisker
Flight comprising an informal
tasting of several expressions
of the malt. Alternatively, if
you’re a whisky connoisseur
and can hold your liquor, go
for the full in-depth Tasting
Tour with a total of five tutored
tastings. Whichever option
you select, the knowledgeable
guides provide an informative,
entertaining experience and if
you’re seeking a momento to
take home, they can help you
pick out a suitable bottle in
the specialist shop before you
leave. If you didn’t have a taste
