The Mill Café is situated on
the ground floor of Weisdale
Mill, a space shared with
Bonhoga Gallery, owned and
run by Shetland Arts. Popular
with island residents and
visitors alike, it’s a great place
to stop for a light lunch, fresh
coffee or one of its renowned
afternoon teas - the delicious
home-baked scones are not to
be missed. This once derelict
building boasts stunning views
over the Shetland countryside
- something the café’s bright
conservatory
takes
full
advantage of - and after you’ve
enjoyed some tasty treats you
can browse the range of local
arts and crafts in the adjacent
gallery. There’s something
to suit everyone, with locally
sourced ingredients and
specialities and The Mill
caters to a range of dietary
requirements including gluten-
free, vegetarian and dairy-

magazines and a range of
toys keep the whole family
occupied, making it an easy
place to while away an

warm atmosphere. Bonhoga
means ‘my spiritual home’ in
