PRETTY GREEN
Pretty Green is the brainchild
of former Oasis frontman Liam
Gallagher. Named after a track
by The Jam, and founded in the
wake of the band’s split in 2009,
the clothing brand now comprises
three ranges: Black Label, Green
Label and Capsule. Pretty Green
is known for its distinctive retro-
style menswear, borrowing
inspiration from vintage British
street clothing through the
decades. One recent range,
for example, includes a series
of Pink Floyd-inspired items.
From printed t-shirts to classic
knitwear, shirts and lightweight
jackets, the brand is hip, young
and relevant, uniting customers
through a shared love of music
and fashion. With a network of 15
shops, plus several concessions
in House of Fraser, Pretty Green
has surged in popularity in recent
years. The flagship store is
located in Manchester, on King
Street, though a new outlet has
recently opened in Deansgate.
All stores are stocked with
designer parkas, leather belted
biker jackets and a range of
paisley cotton shirts. A selection
of sweaters and hoodies are
also available, as is smart attire
such as lapel jackets and tailored
trousers. Whether you prefer to
dress up or down, you’ll find an
item here to your taste. Classic
