Jones of Mumbles has grown significantly over the
years, starting off as a small menswear business
and later adding a womenswear department and a
tailoring suite. The most recent addition, The Jones
Bar, is positioned directly opposite the boutique in
Newton Road, Mumbles. Jones are stockists of
much sought after brands for both men and women
in addition to specialising in made-to-measure
tailoring. The philosophy at Jones is simple: to give
the best and most knowledgeable service possible,
an ethos which its well-trained staff effortlessly
apply. The store’s shelves are piled high with stylish
brands such as Remus Uomo, Gant, Torre, Roy
Robson and Mac Jeans. The men’s department
of Jones in particular features a diverse range of
exclusive brands coupled with a personal service
that’s friendly and never in danger of feeling salesy.
In the ladies’ department, meanwhile, labels such
as Gant, Hugo Boss, Charli and Onjenu are just a
few of the staples to to be found, featuring a range
of understated, streamline and glamorous London
brands. After shopping for a new outfit or the perfect
accessory to complete an existing outfit, amble
across the street and grab a well-earned glass
of something in The Jones Bar. The wine bar and
kitchen serves up a range of inventive cocktails
that pack a punch along with fine wines, beers and
spirits. Try The Pretty Flamingo, made with a mix
of gin, raspberry and citrus, a concoction that is as
zingy as it is refreshing. They also stock some rather
nice champagnes, just the tonic for those celebratory
occasions when only the best will do. On weekends,
rugby matches are shown on the big screen. In the
small and picturesque village of Mumbles, the Jones
name is well known and fondly regarded, not only
on account of the eclectic clothing store, but the bar
that has sprung up to complement and augment the
well-established brand.
