The Dumpling Tree
The Dumpling Tree is an exciting new restaurant in
Cambridge serving homemade dumplings and other
Chinese delicacies from the Yunnan area of China.
Beautiful Yunnan, one of China’s southwestern
provinces, is filled with ethnic and geographic
diversity. With an average altitude of over 6,500
feet, Yunnan enjoys the reputation of being the
kingdom of flower and fauna. 26 of China’s 56
ethnic nationalities live there and it is the inspiration
behind The Dumpling Tree restaurant. Its dishes
are selected to reflect this way of living in harmony
with nature. The speciality, naturally, is the Jiaozi
dumplings, made of a paste wrapper with seasoned
meat or veg filling. They are usually in the shape of
a crescent moon and are particularly tasty because
the process of boiling or pan frying means the steam
generated inside the wrappers does not escape,
keeping the flavour inside and the fillings tender.

The name ‘Yim Wah’ means ‘Beautiful China’ and
is a name which reveals the heart and soul of our
restaurant. Yim Wah Express is traditional, family-
run Chinese restaurant situated in Cambridge City
Centre. The Yim Wah restaurant has been serving
the finest authentic Cantonese cuisine since 1996.
Mr Fook Yu YEUNG is the ‘father’ of Yim Wah as
much as he is the father of his family. With over 60
years’ of experience as a chef, cooking his favourite
Chinese dishes, Yeung instills the essence of
genuine Chinese spirit in his food. Our long-running
signature dishes - such as Cantonese Roasted
Duck, Crispy Pork Belly, Beef/Fish Slices in Chilli
Oil, Salted Fish with Chicken and Aubergine in clay
