Brampton Golf Club was founded in 1909 and
has been described as the Jewel of Cumbria. It’s
situated in a beautiful area, its rolling heathland
offering stunning views of the Pennines, Talkin
Tarn and the mountains of the Lake District. The
course is a par 72 (par 74 for ladies) and can
be played all year round. It offers a challenging
yet enjoyable test, for any level of golfer.
There’s also a putting green, practice range and
chipping bunkers available. After you’ve played
a few rounds, recline in one of the plush leather
settees and enjoy a range of wines and ales at
the clubhouse, or choose from the excellent local
menu at the Braid Restaurant and Bar. Popular
with both members and visitors, its Sunday
lunches in particular are getting extremely popular
so book in advance. There’s also a well stocked
Pro Shop, well worth a browse while you’re there.
