The Glasgow Rocks bring basketball to Scotland,
as the nation’s only professional team. They’re
based at the 7000-capacity, custom-built sports
stadium, Emirates Arena. This is not only where
they play, but it’s also home to their offices on the
arena’s fifth floor. Fans can buy match and season
tickets from the shop, alongside merchandise,
kit and casual clothing. To make game day extra
special, you can purchase one of the ‘experiences’,
providing signed mementoes, photos with the
team, souvenir programmes and more. Or if
a young fan is celebrating a birthday, you can
arrange a celebration party package. The Rocks
have a long history as major players in the sport
for over two decades. The club comprises Lady
Rocks, Gladiator Rocks, Rocks Juniors and the
Glasgow Rocks Wheelchair Team. They also work
with Glasgow Kelvin College to run a basketball
academy, to combine sport with education.
