The Savoy is a vibrant nightclub that has been at the
heart of Glasgow’s clubbing scene for over 35 years.

Like many Scottish cities, Glasgow has its share
of repurposed churches that now welcome in
congregations of a very different nature from that
of yore. In the city’s southside, Church on the
Hill serves as a welcoming beacon which lures
drinkers in their droves. It’s a place to chill, drink,
eat and socialise under one all-encompassing
roof. The decor is largely contemporary, but there
are still a few traditional touches to be found
throughout the multi-level bar. Situated by the
Battlefield monument, the gastro pub is cherished
for its good food, fair prices and friendly service.
The Church feels like a proper local boozer, albeit
one that’s a cut and size above that of most of
its contemporaries. The capacious bar, which is
available for functions and private events, boasts
a cosmopolitan menu that combines Scottish
favourites with flavours from Asia and elsewhere.
