HOTELS & CONFERENCES
GLENMORISTON
TOWN HOUSE
Situated on the tree-lined bank
of the River Ness, close to the
city’s main attractions, lies the
stylish yet cosy Glenmoriston
Town House Hotel. Furnished in
a sharp contemporary style, and
boasting some 30 bedrooms,
the sizeable town house is
the perfect base from which
to explore all Inverness has to
offer. Enjoy a mix of fine dining
and rustic pub food at the two in-
house restaurants, Abstract and
Contrast. While both cook dishes
with a decidedly Highland flavour,
from succulent rare-breed pork
to prime dry-aged beef, the latter
is more of a brasserie, while
Abstract is helmed by feted
executive head chef Cornel
Uys. There’s also a laid-back
and modern piano bar, fully
stocked with Scottish whiskies
and gins, plus an eclectic mix
of cocktails: the perfect spot
to unwind after a long day. If
you’re in town for a conference
or meeting, meanwhile, the
hotel has everything you need:
projector, screen, wifi, flip charts
and suchlike. The dedicated
business facilities are able to
accommodate up to 16 delegates
in the Glenmorangie Room, or 90
in the capacious, self-contained
Windsor Room, which also has a
bar. Top tip: be sure to ask for a
room with a view of the river. You
won’t regret it.
