Liverpool’s Camp & Furnace is
a quirky venue that has a charm
all of its own. Since launching
in 2012, the cavernous
converted factory space has
refused to be pigeonholed.
Yes, it’s a restaurant and
yes, it’s a bar; but it’s also an
indoor festival site, a music
venue and a pop-up event
space. It even moonlights as a
conference location. Located a
stone’s throw from the docks,
in an area known as the Baltic
Triangle, Camp & Furnace
has to be one of the most
unusual venues in the city. If
you’re here to socialise, grab
a bottle of Brown Bear beer –
specially brewed for the venue
– and enjoy the ambiance of
the vast warehouse with its
industrial decor. If you’re in
the eye of the storm, enjoying
one of the multi-day festivals
that regularly take place
during summer, even better,
but intimate performances are
also commonplace, with three
rooms in which to sample
a blend of musical genres.
Moreover, Camp & Furnace
is an excellent venue for
watching live sports – and not
just football either. You’re liable
to catch F1, rugby, NFL or even
wrestling on the huge screen.
Whatever you’re in the mood
for, a jaunt to Camp & Furnace
is well worth it.
