Oxford’s Jurys Inn is a conference hotel that lies just

At first glance, Burlington House looks like a
bonsai business hotel, its 12 dapper bedrooms
dressed in brown and burgandy, with the odd
flash of fashionable wallpaper and lots of clean
lines. Set in a Victorian house on a residential
street in Summertown, The Burlington features
contemporary rooms with colourful wallpapers that
are individually decorated. Cooked and Continental
breakfast is served in a country kitchen, and guests
have access to a Japanese garden courtyard. The
Burlington House has been recommended by both
the Which? Guide to Good Hotels and its sister
publication, the Which? Guide to Good Bed &
Breakfasts. The Victorian merchant’s house, dating
from 1889, has been totally renovated, resulting in
a stylish and luxurious bed and breakfast hotel with
quirky rooms, a residents’ lounge, dining room, on-
