Sabai is an authentic and award-winning Thai restaurant situated adjacent to Brighton’s Royal Pavilion Gardens. Open from midday till late, seven days per week, the family-run eatery serves a range of delicious contemporary dishes, the majority of which are gluten-free. Composed of a restaurant and Thai gastrobar, Sabai – which means relaxed in Thai – provides guests with a refreshingly original dining experience. It asks: why sit on a stiff wooden chair when you can park yourself on a soft Thai cushion and pretend you’re in the Land of Smiles? You’ll find all your favourite Thai dishes on the menu, as well as a rich selection of wines and Thai beers to accompany your food. The air is fragrant with the aroma of fresh basil, lemongrass, galangal and chillies, and it’s a testament to Sabai’s authenticity that many of the ingredients are sourced direct from Thailand itself. Both the front-of-house staff and chefs, meanwhile, are clearly passionate about the dishes they’re serving. Customers keen to cook their favourite Thai meals at home should note that Sabai sells a variety of ingredients including oyster sauce, curry paste and – the perfect accompaniment to any green curry – Mekhong whisky.

The beauty of this place is that it's tucked away and can be kept as my little secret! This place has great Thai food! I feel they could be a little bit more creative with the space but for what they have it serves it's purpose. They also deliver! Cool! :-)
