The Radisson has a very nice location, close to all the action and an easy walk from almost anything you’d want to see in Edinburgh. My room was ok, but a little too trendy for my taste, with not quite enough thought given. The bedroom itself was lit only by lamps by the bed and desk and an illuminated drink cabinet, and it was too dark to do much. The shower was equally odd, with a small square shower and an equal-size space to dry off and put on a robe. I guess that’s the idea anyway — seemed like not a great use of space. There was a long bench adjacent to the shower, which is where I placed my suitcase, with hangers on the wall above the bench in lieu of a closet, and every time I did anything in my suitcase, I hit the hangers as soon as I stood up. The bed was comfortable, but overall the room was not ideal for me. I might stay again, but I’d look elsewhere first.

Hip boutique hotel with modern decoration throughout. A varied enough breakfast is served in a spacious area and it cost £15 for those whom don't have it included in their hotel rate. Location is lovely and convenient, right by Royal Mile and super close to Edinburgh Castle. The rooms are of a good size, only missing a bathtub to escape to after freezing Edinburgh days out. Also, unless you are a big fan of super thin pillows, ask for the orthopedic ones they might still have available and hope for the best! The only downside is the cloud of barely legal teens walking in and out on weekend nights, as it seems the hotel also has a club on the ground floor. But would surely stay there again.

Superb hotel. Very clean and spacious rooms. Polite and attentive staff. Breakfast was ideal with a large selection both hot and cold foods. Wonderful bar area. The hotel is a perfect location for many shops and bars. Not too far to walk from main tram station of Waverley. A note of advice: Take a slightly longer stroll up the winding roads to get to the hotel if suitcases re heavy as the shorter routes are lots of steps. Old town is so much nicer to view with better architecture than the new town side of the city. I am so pleased I stayed on this old town side this time. I would highly recommend this hotel.
