The hotel is nice and lively, very popular. The room is well furnished and replenished every day. This would have received 5 stars but the food weighed them down. We paid for breakfast and my waffles were stone cold, I don't think that's a thing here in Liverpool. And for dinner I had a veggie burger, very heavy on the salt. Seriously all I tasted was salt, and it's sad because that's the only thing I could eat being that I'm a vegetarian. I don't think the burger was cooked properly being that once I cut into it all the filling came out. Very messy. The bartenders and rest of the staff are friendly! But the food is under par.
I booked for afternoon tea as a treat for myself and my little boy. The experience was fantastic from the moment we walked in to the time we left. The service was fantastic and they were happy to adapt the sandwiches to something more to my son's taste. The food was plentiful, beautifully presented and delicious. i'd highly recommended it if you are looking for something a bit special.
