Since opening in 2013, Yukti has established itself as one of Liverpool’s most inventive eating spots. Modern Indian food is the order of the day, with the dishes characterised by clean flavours and succulent meat or fish, the latter ingredients being locally sourced. Situated on Prescot Road, Yukti promises an unforgettable dining experience from the moment you cross the threshold. Tea lights flicker alluringly from each table, pleasant photographs decorate the walls and a separate section, partitioned by a glass panel and populated by booths, offers a degree of intimacy. There’s something for everything here, a fact borne out by the presence of three menus: a la carte, banquet and Thali. If you want to kick things off with a sharing platter, the non-vegetarian option comprises salmon tikka, mince lamb sheekh and chicken tikka, while the vegetarian option favours Punjabi samosa, paneertikka and onion corn pakora. When you’re ready for your main, favourites include Chettinad chicken, infused with ground spices and Ariyalurchillies, and Welsh lamb dalcha. You’ll be blown away by the presentation as much as the taste.
