The Entertainment Guide

Home - Manchester

For lovers of contemporary art, theatre and film, there’s no place like Home. Expect enchanting stories, mesmerising movies and awe-inspiring art when you pay a visit to the home of all things inspirational. Home’s arthouse cinema screens the latest indie flicks, documentaries and European cinema. If it’s quirky, offbeat and acclaimed, you’ll find it here, alongside classic movies that deserve another outing on the big screen – one of five within the arts venue. All through the year, an ever-changing roster of drama is performed in Home’s two dedicated theatre spaces. Then there’s the visual art, courtesy of whichever exhibitions happen to be currently showing; themes of identity and art imitating life are explored through collections by local and national artists. With art, film and theatre festivals regularly springing up, there’s never a dull moment at Home.

5 screens, fab sound and screens in all. Worth the wait. 2 theatre spaces and live theatre broadcasts to large screen. Barry Lyndon was superbly presented. Great food and drink. Another Manchester gem, along with the Bridgewater Hall!! Also space for art and installations. Well done Dave and the team.
