Shere Khan is a contemporary Indian restaurant that’s at the heart of Manchester’s famous Curry Mile. Indeed, the restaurant was at the vanguard of this movement, opening its doors in 1987 before spearheading the Indian food revival that’s earned Rusholme the attention of curry-lovers throughout the North of England. As Shere Khan’s reputation has grown, so has its number of restaurants; the original premises on Wilmslow Road has been supplemented by restaurants in the Trafford Centre and Meadowhall. Whichever one you attend, you can expect a warm welcome and a feast of delicious Indian food. Choose from a range of Karahi or balti dishes, the former infused with garlic, ginger, green chillies and coriander. Alternatively, request one of Shere Khan’s sizzlers, be it chicken, lamb or king prawn tikka, served succulent and loaded with a piquant sauce of your choosing. Chef’s specials allow Shere Khan’s culinary team to show off their skills; for something a little different, try a Handi dish, cooked in a clay pot, and served with a rich, smooth sauce.

Visited the Shere Khan whilst on a Christmas shopping visit to Manchester. The food, service and 'buzz' in the restaurant were all fantastic. Such friendly, attentive staff and the beautiful food made our evening. We live on the east coast of England but have already made plans to stop over in Manchester again so we can return to this restaurant. Thank you so much.
