We took a trip to Newcastle to visit family and take in some of the culture. We have stayed at the Kensington many times as it is located in Jesmond (a lovely district of Newcastle with a great selection of bars and eateries nearby) and is within walking distance of the city centre and the quayside. If you are not up to walking there is a metro station across the road from the premises and it's only a 5 minute ride into town. The apartments are modern spacious and very clean with a luxury feel: the decor was looking a little tired on our last visit though and could probably do with an update. The kitchen is very well equipped if you want to self cater and fresh milk/orange juice and breakfast cereals are provided and replenished each day, which is a nice touch. Staff are friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend the Kensington whether for business or pleasure.
Recently refurbished I suspect, rooms are very nice. The restaurant is good value and has good service. Not normally a fan of holiday inns, but this one is pretty good and would get my business again.
Excellent rooms, fortunate enough to have the apartments booked which are faultless and the staff are brilliant, had my evening meals at the hotel and every member of staff has been brilliant. Brilliant food as well can't fault the service and quality of the hotels
