The Entertainment Guide

Hidden Rooms

Hidden Rooms is an intimate cocktail lounge complete with secluded, curtained booths and a sunken garden. Established in 2009, the bar and events venue is located in an impressive former Victorian Roman Baths, designed in 1863 by Sir Matthew Digby Wyatt. The classy cocktail joint on the city’s Jesus Lane is open from 7pm until midnight. It’s a stylish and opulent after-work hangout where revellers come to enjoy a cheeky cocktail or two and some fantastic live entertainment and table service. It’s only right to start with the cocktails. Hidden Rooms carries all the classics, mixing up a luscious storm of prestigious spirits and fresh mixers to great effect. You can pick up your Mojitos and your Caipirinhas, and there’s a good support act of bottled beers and wines for company. Don’t leave without trying their bespoke Hazelnut Aleksandra or KochanieCytryna. There’s live jazz nights, and a range of booth areas to hire if you’re seeking that VIP treatment. Hidden Rooms host cocktail tuition classes as well as cocktail bootcamps, where friends pit their wits against each other in a 90-minute session of mixed drink merriment.

A few of my colleagues and I came here for cocktail making for a team building activity and it was the BEST. Marcus is so incredibly knowledgeable, personable and made it so fun. The cocktails were delicious and he was such a great teacher. Great value and very memorable!

Nice place, drinks are a bit pricey but the woman serving us was asking for us to pay before we'd even finished our drinks, even though the place was open for another hour or so. Felt like we were being rushed out for not reason.
