Cambridge Meridian Golf Club straddles the Meridian Line, just one of ten courses worldwide to do so. In fact, golfers cross the Meridian Line seven times during the course of a round at the Comberton Road club. The course sits majestically in a 210 acre site between the villages of Comberton and Toft, just five miles west of Cambridge. It was designed by Ryder Cup players Peter Alliss and Clive Clark and is generally acclaimed as their top UK course design. At 6,700 yards, with a par of 73, strategic water hazards and challenging greens it is a stern test for professionals. Its generous fairways make it pleasantly playable for club golfers however. The three-tier fifth green has been described as a wicked roller coaster and the 18th was voted best finishing hole in the region. An excellent course, challenging but very playable, have to use course management strategies, no two holes the same. Always in very good condition & playable all the year round. Staff friendly & helpful with comfortable atmosphere in the club house. Food & beverages good. Lovely sunny patio overlooking the lake with views of the course..idilc! Well worth playing again & again!
